Chris is a degree qualified Chartered Engineer and spent the first half of his career in industrial and municipal energy plant operations, including steam and hot water, power generation and Waste to Energy plants holding senior operations and commercial roles. This was followed by 15 years working in the upstream oil and gas sector, also in operations and commercial roles, before spending 4 years in the carbon storage sector prior to joining Veri Energy in August 2024. 

Currently, as Head of Carbon Stores Development, Chris leads the development of Veri Energy’s carbon storage Non Pipeline Transportation (NPT) business, working closely with Veri’s parent EnQuest, and the other terminal owners, to repurpose existing assets at the Sullom Voe oil terminal in Shetland  for carbon storage, an integral part of the delivery of Veri’s projects through an Energy Transition Hub model.
